BENGHAZI, Libya (Reuters) - At least 36 people were killed in Libya's eastern city of Benghazi, many of them civilians, in clashes between Libyan Special Forces and Islamist militants on Saturday night and Sunday morning, medical and security sources said.

GLASGOW, July 27 (Reuters) – Australian Michael Shelley and Kenya’s Flomena Cheyech Daniel took gold in the men’s and women’s marathons as the Commonwealth Games took to the streets of Glasgow on Sunday. Shelley, who won silver four years ago in Delhi, became the first Australian to win the Games marathon for 20 years and the first to claim consecutive medals in the event since Steve Moneghetti in 1990 and 1994.

GAZA/JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israel will extend a humanitarian truce in the Gaza Strip by a further four hours, a government source said on Saturday, as the number of Palestinian deaths in the 19-day war topped 1,000.
