BUJUMBURA (Reuters) - East African leaders will meet on Sunday at a special summit to discuss the crisis in Burundi, where police and protesters continue to clash on the streets of the capital and the opposition has boycotted peace talks.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. government on Monday condemned the recent killings of an opposition party leader in Burundi and at least 20 others, urging all the parties to renounce violence and continue to work toward a peaceful resolution of the crisis.

BUJUMBURA (Reuters) - Burundi's opposition boycotted peace talks with the government on Monday in protest at the killing of an opposition leader, despite U.N.-led calls for dialogue to end a month of protests and violence in the east African country.

BUJUMBURA (Reuters) - The United Nations, the European Union and African nations urged Burundi's government and the opposition on Sunday not to let violence derail dialogue, after an opposition politician was shot dead and some groups said they were boycotting talks.
