VALLETTA (Reuters) - Libya's internationally recognized prime minister said he hoped to reach a power-sharing peace agreement on Thursday with his rivals during U.N.-backed talks to end a conflict that threatens to break up the country.

SKHIRAT, Morocco (Reuters) - Officials from Libya's rival parliaments sat at the same table for the first time on Sunday at the latest round of United Nations-backed peace talks in Morocco, a move negotiators saw as an important step to forming a unity government.

BENGHAZI, Libya (Reuters) - Libya's elected parliament has voted to stay in United Nations peace talks after calling for amendments to a proposed power-sharing deal aimed at ending the conflict between the country's two rival governments.

BENGHAZI, Libya (Reuters) - At least five Libyan troops were killed late on Friday when a mortar landed in the eastern city of Benghazi where pro-government forces have been fighting against a mix of Islamist militant brigades, medical sources said.

TUNIS (Reuters) - Ten members of Tunisia's diplomatic staff kidnapped in Libya a week ago have been freed and returned to Tunis on Friday, and the Tunisian government has shut down its consular operations in Tripoli.
