BAMAKO (Reuters) - Mali's presidential election will go to a run-off poll after President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita failed to get enough votes to win a second term in office outright, according to preliminary figures provided by the government.

BAMAKO (Reuters) - Fifteen Malian opposition candidates demanded on Wednesday that the government investigate what they said was fraud in Sunday's presidential election, which was beset by armed attacks and problems with the distribution of voting cards.

BAMAKO (Reuters) - Three candidates in Mali's presidential election claimed on Tuesday to have made it into a two-candidate run-off vote, adding to confusion over a poll beset by claims of irregularities and armed attacks that prevented thousands from voting.

BAMAKO/TIMBUKTU (Reuters) - The party of Malian presidential candidate Soumaila Cisse said on Monday that the poll would go to a run-off between Cisse and President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, a day after a vote that was heavily disrupted by suspected Islamist gunmen.

BAMAKO (Reuters) - Vote counting began in Mali on Sunday evening after an election to determine whether President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita will win a second term, amid ethnic and jihadist violence that has dramatically worsened since he came to power five years ago.
