BAMAKO (Reuters) - Malians voted in a run-off presidential election under heavy security on Sunday, with incumbent Ibrahim Boubacar Keita expected to win a second term despite a surge in ethnic and militant violence during his tenure.

BAMAKO (Reuters) - The third and fourth-place finishers in the first round of Mali's presidential election declined on Thursday to endorse opposition leader Soumaila Cisse in Sunday's run-off, dealing a blow to his hopes of defeating President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita.

BAMAKO (Reuters) - Fifteen Malian opposition candidates demanded on Wednesday that the government investigate what they said was fraud in Sunday's presidential election, which was beset by armed attacks and problems with the distribution of voting cards.

BAMAKO (Reuters) - Three candidates in Mali's presidential election claimed on Tuesday to have made it into a two-candidate run-off vote, adding to confusion over a poll beset by claims of irregularities and armed attacks that prevented thousands from voting.

BAMAKO/TIMBUKTU (Reuters) - The party of Malian presidential candidate Soumaila Cisse said on Monday that the poll would go to a run-off between Cisse and President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, a day after a vote that was heavily disrupted by suspected Islamist gunmen.
